Menu Item Generate DPIF

The menu item Generate DPIF creates a Defective Part Information Form (DPIF) with all data that is needed in case of a warranty claim. The DPIF form has to be printed, optionally it may be sent as an Email. The DPIF information is archived in the database.

Select the required spare part. Proceed as follows to generate a DPIF.

1	Select the menu item Extras-Generate DPIF. The following window appears.

Read carefully the regulations for warranty claims. You must accept the displayed regulations to proceed.

Click [Cancel] to abort.

Click [Continue] to proceed.

2	Enter the defective part information. See Chapter Enter Defective Part Information.

3	Optional: If a service technician of the manufacturer performs the repair work he can enter the required time. See Chapter Service technician.

4	Select the shipping address and the mode of dispatch. See Chapter Shipping Address.

5	Verify the information in the message form, see Chapter Verification and Sending.

6	Print the message form, and send it to your supplier, see Chapter Verification and Sending.
