Extras Menu

NOTE:
DPIF functions and «Edit Addresses» of the Extras menu are not available when the catalog is run from CD-ROM.
The function «Make local copy of the data» of the Extras menu is only available when the catalog is run from CD-ROM.

NOTE:
The availability of the extras functions depends on the configuration of your SPCat.

Use the Extras menu to monitor the performance of spare parts. In particular, you may contact your supplier with respect to defective parts e.g. for warranty claims. Refer to Chapter Menu Structure for an overview of the menu structure of the Extras menu.

The Extras menu provides the following items.

 

Item (hotkey underlined)	Icon	Shortcut	Description
Generate DPIF			Generates a new DPIF (Defective Part Information Form) See Chapter Menu Item Generate DPIF.
DPIF history			Shows the DPIF history of the selected part. See Chapter Menu Item DPIF History.
Complete DPIF history			Shows the complete DPIF history (all parts). See Chapter Menu Item Complete DPIF History.
Feedback			Opens a window for entering and mailing a comment concerning the selected part. See Chapter Menu Item Feedback.
Edit addresses			Edits the addresses of the customer and his shipping address. See Chapter Menu Item Edit Addresses.
Set lifetime to default (optional)			Resets each spare part's lifetime as defined by the customer. See Chapter Menu Item Set Lifetime to Default.
Output notes			Exports the user notes in a text file (notes.txt). See Chapter Menu Item Output Notes.
SQLCat (optional)			This menu item is available as an option: Opens the SQLCat version of the parts catalog in your browser. The following prerequisites are required (please ask your system supplier):   SQLCat version of the catalog is available,   Valid user Login for SQLCat version. Make local copy of the data			Only available if the catalog is run from CD-ROM, see Chapter Menu Item Make Local Copy of the Data.
Remove local data			Only available if the catalog is run from CD-ROM, see Chapter Menu Item Remove Local Data».
