Backing Up SPCat

NOTE:
All changes in the database occur instantaneously. You can not undo changes. We recommend a regular backup of the entire catalog.

Backup

Proceed as follows to backup the parts catalog:

1	Exit the catalog, see Chapter Menu Item Exit.

2	Backup the complete catalog folder:

Copy all directories and files to a different drive/directory that is backed up on a regular basis, or

Archive the catalog folder using a packing method (e.g. WinZip).

NOTE:
Changes on the catalog that were done since the last backup will be lost after the restore procedure.

Restore

Proceed as follows to restore the parts catalog:

1	Exit the catalog, see Chapter Menu Item Exit.

2	Copy all files of the backup to the catalog folders, i.e. overwrite existing files.

3	Restart the catalog, see Chapter Starting the Catalog.
