List Window

The «List Window» lists the search results in a tabular form.

Each line contains information on one spare part.

The columns specify the type of information on the spare parts, see Chapter Database Contents.

Selecting a Part

You can select parts in the list window via keyboard or mouse, see Chapter Navigating by List Windows.

Sorting

You can sort the parts of the search result by different criteria. Proceed as follows:

1	Select the sorting criterion by clicking on the corresponding column heading. The heading of the currently selected column is highlighted in blue.

2	The parts are sorted in ascending order with respect to the selected criterion.

3	Click again on the heading of the selected column to sort the parts in reverse order. A small arrow indicates the sort order.

Column Order

You can change the order of the columns. Proceed as follows.

1	Place the mouse pointer in the desired column heading.

2	Press the left mouse button and keep it pressed.

3	Drag the column to the desired place.

4	Release the mouse button.

Change Column width

You can change the width of the columns. Proceed as follows:

1	Place the mouse pointer on the right separation line of the desired column heading. The mouse pointer changes to a double sided arrow.

2	Press the left mouse button and keep it pressed.

3	Drag the separation line to the desired position.

4	Release the mouse button.

Fit Column width

You can also fit the column width to its content. Proceed as follows:

1	Place the mouse pointer on the right separation line of the desired column heading. The mouse pointer changes to a double sided arrow.

2	Double-click the left mouse button.

Function buttons

 

[Copy to Clipboard]		Copies the search results to the Windows Clipboard (e.g. for importing them into a spreadsheet). All database fields are exported to the clipboard using the current order of the tree view. This button is not available when the catalog is run from CD.
[Copy to Clipboard (hierarchical)]		Copies the search results to the Windows Clipboard (e.g. for importing them into a spreadsheet). All database fields are exported to the clipboard using the hierarchical order of the columns. This button is not available when the catalog is run from CD.
[Close]		Closes the window.
