Advanced Search

In the advanced search, you can perform a detailed search for fields as displayed in the Detail View. If you want to search in more than one database field the search result contains only parts for which all entries are matching.

Select the advanced search by one of the following ways.

Select the function Advanced Search from the menu Search.

Press the shortcut CTRL + A.

Select the <<advanced>> search from the drop-down list on the page Navigate (see Fig. Drop-down list for search fields).

Enter your search criteria using one or more of the following items:

Enable the checkbox Search only below current position to search for subparts of the selected part.

Specify your search terms in the corresponding field (refer to Chapter Database Contents for a detailed description of the fields):

Type in the desired search patterns. In numerical fields, you can use the operators «=», «<», «>». Note that you can use the wild cards «%» (any collection of characters) and «_» (one single character).

Select the desired search patterns from a drop-down list.

Enable a checkbox to confine the search:

Drawing No. any: The search result will contain only parts which have a picture.

PM part: The search result will contain only parts which are marked for preventive maintenance.

Click [Search] to perform the search.

Click [Close] to close the window.
