Standard Search

In the standard search, you can perform a search for strings. A string may contain up to 50 characters. The search result contains all parts which contain the search string in any of the specified fields.

Select the standard search by one of the following ways.

Select the function Quick Search from the menu Search.

Press the shortcut CTRL + S.

Select the search field from the drop-down list on the page Navigate.

Element	Description (see Chapter Database Contents)
name + name(g) + item des. + order ID	Combined search for the search string in the specified fields.
part names	Search in the part name fields of the database.
order ID	Search in the order ID fields of the database.
item designation	Search in the item designation fields of the database.
name (alternative)	Search in the name (alternative) fields of the database.

Type in the desired search patterns in the corresponding field. Note that you can use the following wild cards:

«%» represents any collection of characters,

«_» represents one single character.
