Basics
SPCat is a software tool that allows you to order and manage spare parts of your machine in an easy and comfortable way. SPCat shows you the relationship between the listed spare parts and the corresponding drawings, photographs and information. Spare parts are listed hierarchically. The topmost level is the entire machine.
A spare part is called «Subpart» if it is part of an assembly. The assembly is also called «Parent Part» or «Container». Example pencil case (see
Fig. Hierarchy of spare parts (example pencil case)): The pencil case is the parent part, the sharpener is a subpart.
An assembly may be also a spare part and contain further spare parts. Example pencil case (see
Fig. Hierarchy of spare parts (example pencil case)): The assembly sharpener is a spare part and contains subparts, e.g. the blade. The sharpener is the parent part, the blade is a subpart.

| In Chapter Navigation, the navigation in SPCat is described, i.e. how to select the required spare part. |
| Refer to Chapter Searching if you want to search for a spare part by certain criteria. |
