Running SPCat from CD-ROM
On the intro screen (Fig. Intro screen (example)), select the item «Start the catalog from CD» to run the catalog from the CD-ROM drive.In the title bar of the parts catalog the term «***CD-ROM***» will be displayed to indicate that the catalog runs from CD.NOTE:
Running SPCat from CD-ROM disables functions and options of the catalog that require write access to files of the parts catalog and the database. In particular, any changes to the catalog (layout, options etc.) can not be saved.There is the option to make a local copy of the data when the catalog is run from CD-ROM, see Chapter Menu Item Make Local Copy of the Data. The database and configuration files are copied from CD-ROM to hard disk of the PC. The catalog will not be installed on the PC.A local copy of the data enables you to execute some functions of the catalog which are not available from CD-ROM.You can delete the local copy of the data, see Chapter Menu Item Remove Local Data».
