Installing SPCat

NOTE:
Refer to requirements for hardware and software, see Chapter System Requirements.

NOTE:
Local administrator access rights on your PC's operating system are preferred when installing SPCat. Under certain conditions, standard users can perform the installation, too. See Chapter Access Rights and SPCat Installation.

NOTE:
If an error is reported when starting intro.exe or the catalog, consult the «readme.txt» in the prepare directory of the CD.

Proceed as follows to install SPCat:

1	Insert the catalog CD in your CD-ROM drive. The setup will start automatically. (If the setup does not start automatically, execute the file drive:\intro.exe where drive stands for your CD-ROM drive letter).

2	The intro screen appears:

3	The options on this screen depend on the configuration of your parts catalog. Select the desired action:

Deutsche Version : The german version is displayed.

Start the catalog from CD : The catalog starts of directly from CD, see Chapter Running SPCat from CD-ROM.

Install catalog on hard disk: The catalog will be copied to your local harddrive, see Chapter Installation on Hard Disk.

Display CHM : Displays a help text for the application in CHM format.

Display PDF : Displays a help text for the application in PDF format

Help : Displays a help text for the application.

Close : Closes the menu without any further action.

The catalog version and the date of issue is optionally displayed right at the bottom.
