Starting the Catalog

NOTE:
Running SPCat from CD-ROM disables functions and options of the parts catalog that require write access to files of the catalog and the database. In particular, any changes to the catalog (layout, options etc.) can not be saved.

Start the catalog by one of the following ways:

Click on the shortcut for the catalog on your desktop. Note that the catalog must be installed on the PC and a shortcut had to be created during installation. See Chapter Installation on Hard Disk,

In the Windows Start menu, select Programs and start the desired catalog,

Execute the file spcat.exe in the root directory of the catalog. Note that the catalog must be installed on the PC. See Chapter Installation on Hard Disk,

Run the catalog from the CD-ROM, see Chapter Running SPCat from CD-ROM.

A splash screen is displayed while the catalog runs up. The catalog is ready for operation when the start screen is displayed, see Fig. Typical screen layout (example).
